GTA UA CEO Participates in the Fifth Foreign Investment Congress 2026
On May 28-29, Kyiv hosted theFifth Foreign Investment Congress 2026, an international platform for dialogue between government representatives, businesses, foreign investors, diplomatic missions, and local communities on Ukraine’s recovery and investment cooperation.
This year, the Congress brought together 322 participants from 36 countries. The programme featured 19 panel discussions, presentations of the investment potential of Ukrainian cities and communities, and dedicated sessions on business support instruments, innovation, and human capital development.
Kateryna Stavniichuk, CEO of the GovTech Alliance of Ukraine (GTA UA), participated in the panel discussion “Doing Business in Ukraine: From Reforms to Results”, where speakers discussed the impact of reforms on the business environment, Ukraine’s investment attractiveness, and the steps needed to further align the country with European Union standards.

During the discussion, Kateryna Stavniichuk highlighted that digital transformation has become one of the key factors improving interaction between businesses and the state in Ukraine. Thanks to the development of digital infrastructure, electronic services, public registries, digital identity solutions, and interoperability mechanisms, businesses today benefit from significantly faster and more convenient access to public services.
Special attention was given to the role of GTA UA as a platform that brings together government, technology companies, and international partners to support the development of a mature GovTech ecosystem. GTA UA facilitates the systematic involvement of industry expertise in public policy development, promotes professional standards, and supports the international positioning of Ukrainian GovTech.
The discussion also addressed the future development of Ukraine’s digital state. Among the key priorities for the coming years are the harmonisation of digital infrastructure with European standards, the advancement of interoperability, digital identity, cyber resilience, and the creation of a more predictable regulatory environment for businesses.
For GTA UA, participation in international platforms such as the Fifth Foreign Investment Congress is an important opportunity to represent the Ukrainian GovTech ecosystem within a broader economic and investment context, while strengthening understanding of the role digital technologies play in Ukraine’s recovery and long-term development.
We thank the organisers of the Fifth Foreign Investment Congress for the invitation and the opportunity to contribute to the dialogue on the future of Ukraine’s investment and technological development.
